HP CM 1 Bigha Yojana 2024
Under this scheme, employment opportunities will be provided to 1.5 lakh rural women in the state to make them self-reliant. In the New HP Chief Minister’s 1 Bigha Scheme 2023, approximately 5,000 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will reach up to 80% of rural families who have some land.
This CM 1 Bigha Scheme will be integrated with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) to strengthen the rural economy, enabling women to create their own livelihoods. Under HP CM 1 Bigha Yojana, those with up to one bigha of land can establish backyard kitchen gardens for growing vegetables and fruits. This initiative allows women living on one bigha of land or their families to create a kitchen garden in the backyard.

This scheme will be linked with MGNREGA to facilitate employment opportunities for women. Training will also be provided under this scheme to enhance the skills of women in the state. Within the framework of this scheme, all Self-Help Groups holding job cards can avail benefits of up to one lakh rupees.
