Under this scheme, the government will provide a loan of 10,000 rupees through banks to rural rickshaw pullers, labourers, and migrant workers to help them start a new business. To apply under this scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana portal. The benefit of the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana portal will be for establishing new businesses only for rural entrepreneurs and migrant workers in rural areas. Through the Kamgar Setu portal, rural migrant workers will receive training through self-employment training institutes to establish their new businesses.

Under this scheme, low-cost equipment or working capital will be provided to economically disadvantaged migrant labourers/small entrepreneurs in the rural areas of the state in the form of loans through banks. The objective of Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana

As you all know, the COVID-19 pandemic is escalating across the entire nation of India, which has led to an ongoing state of lockdown. This situation has caused unemployment among labourers, workers, street vendors, rickshaw pullers, and many others. In light of these challenges, the Madhya Pradesh government has initiated the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana.

Through this scheme, the government aims to provide loans to rural radio operators and migrant labourers via banks, allowing them to establish their own businesses and regain their livelihoods. The Kamgar Setu portal, managed by the Madhya Pradesh Department of Development and Housing, facilitates online registration, providing an opportunity for citizens in the state who have lost their livelihoods to restart their businesses.

Chief Minister Rural Street Vendor Loan Scheme Implementation

Under the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana, the loan amount will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants who apply within 30 days will receive the loan as soon as possible. The government has appointed the Panchayat and Rural Development Department as the implementing body for the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana to ensure the correct identification of applicants and prevent any misuse of the loan facility. A Nodal Officer has been designated as the Collector.

Implementation of Rural Workers Bridge Scheme

Under the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana, loan approval by banks will be granted within 30 days of registration. Approval will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has been incorporated into this scheme to ensure proper applicant identification, preventing any wrongful loan disbursements. As a result, no individual will be able to obtain a loan incorrectly.

A Nodal Officer, usually the Collector, has been appointed in every district to oversee the implementation of this scheme. You can apply for this scheme on your own, or you can do so through the CSC (Common Service Center). Application facilities are also available at Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat offices.

  • This scheme exclusively benefits rural street vendors in the state of Madhya Pradesh, including those engaged in roadside vending (such as street vendors, road sellers, bicycle vendors, and cart vendors).
