Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana- The Madhya Pradesh government is embarking on an initiative to ensure that the state’s farmers receive the right price for their crops. Under this scheme, the state government will make payments to bridge the gap between the sale price (in markets) and the profitable price into the bank accounts of all farmers.

In Madhya Pradesh, if farmers are selling their Kharif crops in the market at a price lower than the Minimum Support Price (MSP), they can apply for compensation under the Price Deficiency Payment Scheme to cover their losses. MP Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana 2023

To avail of the benefits of this scheme, interested beneficiaries in the state will need to apply online through the e-procurement system. Over the past 5 years, a total of 11.857 million farmers have registered for minimum support price through e-procurement, out of which 6.435 million farmers have sold 241.562 lakh metric tons of grains, and a payment of INR 69,111 crore has been made. Under the MP Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, the government will transfer the benefits directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Therefore, applicants should have their own bank account, and the bank account should be linked with an Aadhar card. The Madhya Pradesh government is inviting farmers to register online for the Chief Minister’s Price Deficiency Payment Scheme through the official e-procurement website, http://mpeuparjan.nic.in/. Interested beneficiaries in the state can easily apply through this online portal.

Crops included in Bhavantar Payment Scheme

  • Crops eligible for Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the Kharif season: rice, urad (black gram), pigeon pea, and mung bean.
  • Crops covered under the Price Deficiency Payment Scheme for the Kharif season: maize, soybean, pearl millet, sorghum, groundnut, sesame, and castor.
  • The Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana now includes 13 crops in the state, including wheat, urad (black gram), kapas (cotton), mung bean, pearl millet, sorghum, rice, maize, soybean, groundnut, sesame, castor, and pigeon pea.

 

Benefits of Madhya Pradesh Bhavantar Payment Yojana

  • The benefit of this scheme will be extended to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh. Under the Price Deficiency Payment Scheme, the state government will compensate farmers for the price difference between the sale price (in markets) and the profitable price.
  • This will ensure that they do not incur any losses.
  • Farmers in the state, by receiving financial assistance from the government, will find it easier to sow crops in the upcoming seasons. This will lead to an increase in their income.
  • Under this scheme, the government will make full payments for the price deficit (the difference between market price and MSP) to all those farmers who suffer losses when selling agricultural produce below the Minimum Support Prices (MSP).

Kharif Crop 2023 Minimum Support Price List:

  • Soybean: Rs. 3,399 per quintal (a flat bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal will be provided)
  • Maize: Rs. 1,700 per quintal (a flat bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal will be provided)
  • Rice: Rs. 1,750 per quintal
  • Rice Grade A: Rs. 1,770 per quintal
  • Hybrid Jowar: Rs. 2,430 per quintal
  • Malvandi Jowar: Rs. 2,450 per quintal
  • Pearl Millet (Bajra): Rs. 1,950 per quintal
  • Arhar (Pigeon Pea): Rs. 5,675 per quintal
  • Medium Staple Cotton: Rs. 5,150 per quintal (a flat bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal will be provided)
  • Long Staple Cotton: Rs. 5,450 per quintal (a flat bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal will be provided)
  • Tur (Red Gram): Rs. 5,675 per quintal
  • Urad (Black Gram): Rs. 5,600 per quintal
  • Mung Bean: Rs. 6,975 per quintal
  • Groundnut (Peanut): Rs. 4,890 per quintal
  • Sesame (Til): Rs. 5,675 per quintal
  • Castor (Ramtil): Rs. 5,877 per quintal

 

Rabi Crop 2023 Minimum Support Price List:

  • Garlic: Rs. 3,200 per quintal (estimated)
  • Chickpeas (Chana): Rs. 4,400 per quintal
  • Lentils (Masoor): Rs. 4,250 per quintal
  • Mustard: Rs. 4,000 per quintal
  • Onions: Rs. 8 per kilogram (estimated)
  • Pigeon Peas (Tur, Model Rate): Rs. 3,860 per quintal (for April 1 to 30, 2018)
  • Wheat Support Price: Rs. 2,000 per quintal

  1. First, the applicant needs to visit the Official Website  of e-Uparjan.
  2. Upon reaching the official website, the homepage will appear.
  3. On this homepage, click on the “Kharif 2023” option.
  4. After clicking on this option, the next page will display the option for Kharif procurement registration for the year 2023.
  5. The applicant should click on this option to proceed with the application process.

  • After clicking on the option, the next page will open up.
  • On this page, you will need to select the type of registration, enter your Aadhar number, and fill in the CAPTCHA code.
  • Then, click on the “Register” button.
  • Once you click on the option, the registration form will appear in front of you.
  • You must fill in all the required information on this registration form.
  • After filling in all the details, you need to click on the “Submit” button.
